Choosing between polyurethane and rubber caster wheels depends largely on the specific requirements of your application. Both materials offer unique advantages, and understanding these can help you make an informed decision.

Load Capacity: Polyurethane wheels
generally have a higher load-bearing capacity compared to rubber wheels,
making them suitable for heavier loads. If your application involves
moving heavy machinery or equipment, polyurethane casters are likely the
better choice.

Floor Protection: Polyurethane wheels are
non-marking and offer excellent floor protection, making them ideal for
environments where maintaining pristine floors is essential. Rubber wheels
also provide floor protection but may not be as effective in non-marking
capabilities as polyurethane.

Shock Absorption: Rubber wheels excel in
shock absorption, making them suitable for applications with rough terrain
or frequent impacts. If your equipment must traverse uneven surfaces or if
shock absorption is a priority, rubber casters are the preferred option.

Noise Levels: Rubber wheels offer quieter
operation compared to polyurethane wheels, which can be beneficial in
noise-sensitive environments. If reducing noise is a critical factor,
rubber wheels are the optimal choice.

Chemical Resistance: Polyurethane wheels
exhibit better resistance to chemicals, oils, and greases, making them
more suitable for harsh industrial environments. If your application
involves exposure to such substances, polyurethane casters are
recommended.
