What is the difference between PU foam wheels and regular tires

There are significant differences between PU foam wheels and regular tires in multiple aspects.
Firstly, from the perspective of material composition, PU foam wheels are made of polyurethane material, which has characteristics such as puncture resistance, no need for inflation, and good elasticity. Therefore, it has good smoothness and strong load-bearing performance during use. Ordinary tires are generally solid wheels, commonly made of materials such as rubber and plastic, without gas filling, thus having a large load-bearing capacity and a longer service life.
Secondly, from the performance characteristics, the PU foam wheel is made of foam material, which has the effect of shock absorption, can play a very good role in protection during transportation, and improve the stability of the wheel. However, ordinary tires, due to being solid wheels, have poor shock absorption performance and generate greater vibration force on vehicles and items, which may reduce the stability of vehicle operation.
Furthermore, from the perspective of application scenarios, PU foam wheels are widely used in high-end straight row wheels, skateboards, luggage wheels, shopping cart push wheels, and other occasions that require strong load-bearing and shock absorption performance due to their special materials and performance. Ordinary tires are more commonly used in various vehicles, such as cars, trucks, etc., to meet basic driving needs.
In summary, there are significant differences between PU foam wheels and ordinary tires in terms of materials, performance, and application scenarios. Choosing which type of tire to use requires comprehensive consideration based on specific needs and scenarios.
